What you get
A Forest Hill booking for solar panel cleaning covers every panel on your roof, washed by hand with deionised water and soft brushes while Daniel is harnessed in. A free condition inspection and same-day before and after photos are part of every job.
Daniel's promise
One person handles your Forest Hill clean from quote to final photo, and that person is Daniel.
Forest Hill grew quickly in the 1960s and 1970s, and many of those original brick veneer homes with tiled hip roofs still line its streets, now joined by unit developments and newer rebuilds. Daniel cleans solar panels on all of them personally. He quotes the job, climbs the ladder, cleans the array and sends the photos, with no subcontractors involved.

You booked Daniels Solar Cleaning, you get Daniel. No subcontractors and no trainees, ever.
Forest Hill's older concrete and terracotta tile roofs get careful footing, and Daniel stays clipped into height-safety gear from the moment he steps off the ladder.
He tells you what he found — even when that means your panels didn't need doing yet.
Sixties suburbia
Between Forest Hill Chase and the quiet side streets off Canterbury Road, a few roof and housing patterns come up again and again.
Many houses here still have their first tile roof, laid when the suburb was built. Daniel checks each step, since aged tiles and ridge capping can be brittle underfoot around the panels.
Subdivided blocks often put two or three units on land that once held one home. Driveways are shared and roofs are small, so Daniel confirms access details before arriving.
Some Forest Hill homes got a small system years ago and added more panels later, sometimes on a different roof face. Daniel cleans old and new sections with the same method.
Often seen in 3131: An early solar system on an original tiled roof that has never been cleaned, with the owner unsure whether the tiles around it are safe to walk on.
See the difference
That film isn't loose dust. It's bonded pollen, traffic soot and mineral residue — and rain doesn't shift it.

Best times to book
These are the times of year Forest Hill solar owners tend to find a clean most worthwhile.
Nov–Dec
A late-spring clean clears what built up over the cooler months, so the glass is clear right as the longest days of the year arrive.
Sep–Oct
Spring blossom and pollen settle onto panels alongside winter's dust. Cleaning now also means the condition inspection picks up anything that shifted during winter storms.
Mar–May
Months of dust and baked-on bird droppings come off easily in milder autumn weather, which is also comfortable for working safely up on the roof.
Anytime
Whenever a nearby tree is pruned or a neighbour finishes renovating, leaves and fine dust can land on the array. A clean afterwards puts the glass right again.
Forest Hill questions
Daniel charges $140 for up to 6 panels, $150 for 12 and $170 for 14, all inc GST. Beyond 14, each panel is $5 more, so a 16 panel Forest Hill roof comes to $180. There's no double-storey surcharge, and a free condition inspection is included with the clean.
Usually, yes. Daniel harnesses in, chooses his footing carefully and avoids putting weight on tiles that look cracked or loose. If part of the array genuinely can't be reached safely, he tells you and you aren't charged for it.
It does. Dust, pollen and bird droppings block some light from reaching the cells, and a single dropping can shade part of a panel. Clean glass lets the system work the way it was designed to, especially heading into summer.
Not if there's side access to the back of the house. Daniel can let himself through the gate, complete the clean, and email before and after photos the same day so you can see the result from work.
Yes. Small systems start at $140 for up to 6 panels, and they benefit from clean glass just as much as bigger ones. Daniel will check shared driveway or access arrangements with you before he comes out.
While on the roof, Daniel checks for cracked glass, lifted seals, loose clamps and any new shading from growing trees or nearby building work. Anything worth noting is photographed and included with your same-day email.
Rain moves some loose dust, but it rarely shifts dried bird droppings, lichen or the grimy film that builds up over time. As the water evaporates it can even leave marks behind. A hand clean with deionised water leaves the glass properly clear.
Most homes take between 45 and 90 minutes. A small unit system is at the quicker end, while an array split over several roof faces takes a bit longer. Daniel gives you a rough idea when he confirms the booking.
