What you get
Hilly streets and established brick homes make up much of Mooroolbark, and solar panel cleaning here is done by Daniel in person. He hand washes every panel with deionised water, then emails before and after photos.
Daniel's promise
Mooroolbark homeowners deal with one insured operator, one agreed price and one careful clean, start to finish.
Mooroolbark's streets roll over hills and gullies around the station and Manchester Road, lined with brick veneer homes built from the 1960s through the 1990s. Many have sloping front yards, split-level designs or garages tucked under the house. Daniel takes on every clean himself, which means he's the one working out ladder placement on your block and doing the careful work on the roof.

You booked Daniels Solar Cleaning, you get Daniel. No subcontractors and no trainees, ever.
Split-level and single-storey tiled homes in Mooroolbark are cleaned with Daniel anchored to height-safety gear and minding every step.
He tells you what he found — even when that means your panels didn't need doing yet.
Hills and gullies
The ups and downs of Mooroolbark mean roof heights and access points can change a lot from one house to the next.
Homes built into a slope often have one roof line much higher on the downhill side. Daniel picks the safest side for his ladder, and the price doesn't change for the extra height.
Closer to the shops and station, older blocks have been subdivided into units with small systems. Driveways are often shared, so neighbours can easily book on the same visit.
Roofs here range from older terracotta to later concrete tiles. Daniel steps only where the tiles are well supported, so a clean doesn't leave cracked tiles behind.
Around 3138: A split-level home where the panels sit on the high side of the roof, so the owner can't see the droppings and dust building up from anywhere on the property.
See the difference
That film isn't loose dust. It's bonded pollen, traffic soot and mineral residue — and rain doesn't shift it.

Best times to book
Here's how the year breaks down for solar owners in 3138.
Nov–Dec
Book before summer and the panels shed their winter dust and spring pollen just in time for the year's longest daylight hours.
Sep–Oct
Mooroolbark's leafy gardens send pollen onto every roof in spring. Cleaning early stops a sticky layer from forming over the top of winter grime.
Mar–May
Once summer's done, panels usually carry dried droppings and dust. Cooler autumn days are comfortable for a clean and a close look at clamps and seals.
Anytime
Strong winds can drop leaves, twigs and grit across the roof. A clean afterwards clears the glass, and the inspection checks nothing has shifted.
Mooroolbark questions
Including GST, it's $140 for up to 6 panels, $150 for 12 panels and $170 for 14 panels. Each extra panel is $5, so 22 panels costs $210. Mooroolbark's double-storey and split-level homes pay no surcharge, and the free condition inspection comes with every clean.
Usually. Daniel looks for the safest ladder position, often on the uphill side, and works on the roof with a harness and height-safety gear. If there's no safe way to reach the array, there's no charge.
Not if Daniel has side access through a gate. Many Mooroolbark customers leave the gate unlocked and receive before and after photos by email the same afternoon. Just mention any dogs or locked gates when booking.
Only partly. Rain can rinse loose dust, but droppings, pollen and a grimy film tend to stay put. As rainwater dries it often leaves spots and a dirty line along the bottom of each panel.
Once a year works for most homes. Roofs with gum trees nearby or regular bird activity may need a clean every six months. After the first visit Daniel can suggest a sensible schedule.
Yes. Daniel cleans only the panels you book, as long as he can reach them safely. If the other units on your block also have solar, booking together gives everyone a better rate.
Yes. Daniel sticks to deionised pure water and soft brushes, with no detergents and no pressure washing. That's the gentle approach panel manufacturers expect, and it avoids scratching the glass or stressing the seals around each panel.
Daniel checks for cracked glass, lifted seals, loose clamps and any new shading. Anything that needs your attention is photographed and included in the same-day email with your before and after photos.
