What you get
Hilly streets and roomy brick homes define much of Avondale Heights, where rooftop solar is a common sight. Daniel's solar panel cleaning means hand washing with deionised water on the roof, plus before and after photos emailed that day.
Daniel's promise
In Avondale Heights, Daniel agrees the cost with you first, then carries out every step of the clean personally.
Avondale Heights took shape largely in the 1960s and 1970s, and its hillside streets are full of solid brick homes, many with double-storey sections, balconies and generous tiled roofs. Some have been extended or rebuilt since. Daniel looks after solar on these homes himself, taking the time to set up safely on sloping sites and larger roofs before he starts cleaning.

You booked Daniels Solar Cleaning, you get Daniel. No subcontractors and no trainees, ever.
Broad tiled roofs on Avondale Heights brick homes are cleaned by Daniel with careful footing and a harness connected to height-safety gear.
He tells you what he found — even when that means your panels didn't need doing yet.
Hillside homes
Sloping Avondale Heights blocks and larger brick homes shape how Daniel reaches and cleans each array.
Many homes here have two levels with big tiled roofs, often facing north toward the view. Daniel sets up his harness first and charges nothing extra for the height.
Houses built into the hillside can have a low front and a tall rear. Daniel chooses the safest access point for the site before carrying gear up.
Generous roof areas leave room for larger arrays spread over several faces. Every section gets the same careful hand clean, and extra panels simply follow the per-panel rate.
Typical in Avondale Heights: A long-time owner with a tall brick home and panels added years ago, who used to climb up to hose them but no longer wants to take that risk.

That film isn't loose dust. It's bonded pollen, traffic soot and mineral residue — and rain doesn't shift it.

Best times to book
Avondale Heights owners in 3034 generally find these times best for a clean.
Nov–Dec
A clean ahead of the hottest months lets north-facing arrays make the most of long sunny days without a film of dust in the way.
Sep–Oct
Pollen from gardens and street trees settles over winter's leftover dust. Cleaning in spring clears both before summer bakes them on.
March–May
By autumn, summer dust and bird droppings are usually visible on the glass. A clean now sets the panels up for the cooler months.
Anytime
If you used to clean the panels yourself and have decided it's no longer safe, that's the ideal time to hand the job to Daniel.
Avondale Heights questions
Prices include GST and start at $140 for up to 6 panels. A 12 panel system is $150 and 14 panels is $170, then add $5 per extra panel, so 20 panels is $200. There's no double-storey surcharge, and a free condition inspection is part of every clean.
Climbing onto a tall roof without proper height-safety gear is risky, and hard brushes or tap water can mark the glass. Daniel works harnessed in with deionised water and soft brushes, so you can stay on the ground.
Yes. Daniel assesses the site to find the safest way onto the roof, whether that's from the low side or a rear wall. If any section genuinely can't be reached safely, you won't be charged for it.
Most homes take between 45 and 90 minutes. Larger systems across several roof faces can take a little longer, and Daniel will give you a realistic idea when he confirms your booking.
No. Daniel's method uses deionised pure water and soft brushes only, without detergents or pressure washers. It's a gentle clean that avoids damaging glass coatings, seals or frames, which is what manufacturers expect.
Yes. Gutter vacuum cleaning is 10% off when booked with a solar clean. For tall homes it's especially handy, since it saves you arranging another person to get up to the gutters.
Daniel checks for cracked glass, lifted seals, loose clamps and new shading while he's on the roof. Photos of anything worth a closer look are emailed to you along with the before and after shots.
Daniel also cleans panels in neighbouring Keilor East and Maribyrnong, along with many other suburbs across Melbourne's north west. Send your address and he'll confirm the same day whether you're covered.
