What you get
Careful work around slate, parapets and heritage streetscapes is part of solar panel cleaning in East Melbourne, and Daniel does it by hand with deionised water and soft brushes. Each visit also brings a free condition inspection and before and after photos by email the same day.
Daniel's promise
One person answers, quotes and cleans: Daniel, harnessed on your East Melbourne roof, with the price settled before he starts.
East Melbourne holds some of the city's oldest housing, from grand Victorian terraces and Italianate mansions to apartment blocks overlooking the Fitzroy Gardens. Solar here usually sits on rear roof planes, out of sight from the heritage streetscape. Daniel does every clean himself, carrying his gear through rear lanes or narrow hallways where needed and treating original roofing with the respect it deserves.

You booked Daniels Solar Cleaning, you get Daniel. No subcontractors and no trainees, ever.
East Melbourne slate, corrugated iron and apartment roofs each get careful footing, with Daniel clipped into height-safety gear before he reaches the panels.
He tells you what he found — even when that means your panels didn't need doing yet.
Heritage inner city
Heritage controls, shared walls and limited street parking shape how Daniel approaches a solar clean in this small inner-city pocket beside the Fitzroy Gardens.
Heritage rules often keep panels off street-facing roof planes, so many East Melbourne arrays sit on back sections behind parapets. Daniel works out a safe route to those rear faces before climbing.
Terrace rows rarely have side gates. Daniel often brings his ladder in through a bluestone rear lane or courtyard, and lets you know beforehand if he needs a door opened.
Some apartment buildings near Jolimont and along Wellington Parade share one array across the whole block. Daniel can arrange the clean with the owners corporation or building manager and send photos to everyone involved.
Typical in 3002: A modest array tucked on the back slope of a Victorian terrace, reachable only through the rear lane, which nobody has looked at closely since it was installed.
See the difference
That film isn't loose dust. It's bonded pollen, traffic soot and mineral residue — and rain doesn't shift it.

Best times to book
Good windows through the year for booking a clean on a 3002 roof.
Nov–Dec
A late spring clean takes off the pollen and grime from the cooler months, so the glass is clear right as the longest days of the year arrive.
Sep–Oct
Street trees and garden plantings shed pollen through spring, and it settles on the glass as a dull film. Clearing it early keeps rear-roof panels from dulling further.
Mar–May
Autumn leaf litter gathers against panel frames on terrace roofs. A clean after the leaves come down clears the glass and lets Daniel flag loose clamps before winter.
Anytime
Terrace renovations nearby leave fine dust on neighbouring roofs. Once the scaffolding comes down, a clean returns your panels to clear glass and checks nothing was knocked.
East Melbourne questions
In East Melbourne you pay $140 for up to 6 panels, $150 for 12 and $170 for 14, all GST inclusive, plus $5 for every panel after that. A 16 panel terrace roof, for instance, comes to $180. Two storeys attract no surcharge, and the free condition inspection is part of every clean.
Daniel moves carefully on slate and older iron, harnessed to height-safety gear, and places his weight to avoid cracking brittle slates or tiles. He uses only deionised water and soft brushes. If a section can't be reached safely, he won't attempt it and you won't be charged for it.
Usually, yes. Many terraces are reached through a rear lane or courtyard, and Daniel will ask about access when you enquire. If the only way through is inside the house, someone will need to be home to let him in.
Yes. Daniel cleans strata and commercial roofs, and he can deal directly with a building manager or committee. He'll confirm roof access arrangements beforehand, and the before and after photos can go to whoever needs them on the same day.
While on the roof Daniel checks for cracked glass, lifted seals, loose clamps and any new shading, such as a neighbour's extension or a tree that has grown. Anything worth noting is photographed and emailed to you with the before and after shots.
Rain moves loose dust around but rarely lifts pollen film, traffic grime or dried bird droppings, and as it evaporates it can leave marks behind. Panels at a shallow tilt, common on rear terrace roofs, tend to hold that residue longer.
It's a small job that helps. Clean panels look better in listing photos and at inspections, and the free condition inspection gives you dated photos of the array's state. Daniel can work around agents and tenants if you tell him who to contact.
Most homes take 45 to 90 minutes. On inner-city terraces, carrying gear through a lane or house can add a little time, so Daniel will give you a realistic window when he confirms the booking.
